Two days left before the 2012 New York Auto Show, andMercedes-Benz can’t wait but to break the cover of its new 2013 Mercedes-BenzGL-Class SUV. The SUV market hasn’t died off just yet, instead carmanufacturers are leaning it down by giving it more fuel efficient enginesinstead.
So, what’s new in the 2013 Mercedes-Benz GL-Class SUV? Forstarter, the front fascia has been revamped with newly designed headlights andLED running lights as seen on the latest SLK and SL models. In addition to thefront fascia revision, we can see larger air intakes that housed the LEDrunning lights. Other than that, much of the design language is similar to thenew SLK and SL models.
As for the interior of the 2013 Mercedes-Benz GL-Class SUV,besides the more luxurious materials and updated gadgets, it remains relativelythe same as the previous year model.
Mercedes-Benz has not officially announced the technicalspec of the 2013 Mercedes-Benz GL-Class yet, but we expect it to receive a3.0-liter diesel V6 engine for the base model and the new twin-turbocharged4.6-liter V8 engine for the higher-end model. These engines will likely bemated to a 7-speed automatic transmission or with the 4Matic all-wheel drive.
