Toyota has officially announced today that the all-new 2012Toyota Prius C will start under $19,000, and that is a very attractive priceindeed for many who have been waiting for this fuel-miser and versatile car.
Starting with the base model 2012 Prius C One, it is pricedat $18,950, not including a $760 destination charge. And if you are desiringfor the top-of-the-line model called the Prius C Four, it will cost you around$23,000. That is still a good deal for this versatile car with an estimated USEPA fuel economy rating of 53/46/50 miles per gallon (city/hwy/combined), andno electrical plug is needed, which makes it the highest rated city fueleconomy of any vehicle without a plug. Just imagine if Toyota would come outwith a plug-in hybrid model in the future, we figure it would go up as much as70 miles per gallon.
The 2012 Toyota Prius C will be available in four trimlevels: One, Two, Three and Four, with the later comes with the most featuresand options. Along with the standard equipment (automatic climate control,Bluetooth phone controls and remote keyless entry), the Toyota Prius C Fouralso comes with fog lights and optional 16-inch wheels as compared to thestandard 15-inch wheels found on other trim levels. In addition, the Prius CFour is the only model that is available with heated front seats.
The much awaited 2012 Toyota Prius C goes on sale in March,and orders have already begun.
