2011 Ferrari SuperAmerica 45
Ferrari has unveiled the first official details on theSuperamerica 45 - another one-off model that will make its world debut thisweekend at the Villa d’Este Concorso d’Eleganza. The model will bedistinguished by a carbon-fiber rotating hard-top with a rear screen, bodycolored rear buttresses, double air vents on the front wing, a specific chromedfront grille and special burnished aluminum A-pillars, wing mirrors, and doorhandles. The model will be painted in an exclusive Blu Antille, contrastingwith darker blue on the front splitter, side skirts, and rear diffuser. For theinterior, the Superamerica 45 gets Cuoio leather trim and Blu Scuro carbonfiber details, plus the latest-generation touch-screen infotainment system.
Other design features include body-coloured alloy wheels, with a diamond finish on the spokes, and a contrasting dark blue splitter, sideskirts and rear diffuser. The main blue paint scheme is designed to match theshade of Kalikow’s 1961 400 Superamerica cabriolet. Inside, there’s dark bluecarbonfibre trim on the dashboard, and Cuoio (deep beige) leather.
Ferrari describes the car as “a unique one-off model”, astrong rebuff to any suggestion of even a limited manufacturing run. However, the very public adoption of the complex roof set-up on the Ferrari 599 is astrong hint that a production version of such a car could be feasible.
